Suzuki Swift Sport

The Suzuki Swift is a subcompact car produced by Suzuki in Japan since 2000. Prior to this, the “Swift” nameplate had been used Suzuki Cultus in many export markets. The Suzuki Swift began in 1985 as marketing and manufacturing rebadge of the Suzuki Cultus, a supermini (or subcompact) manufactured and marketed around the world from generation to generation three of the four body to activate the three-door hatchback, four-door sedan, five -door hatchback and two-door convertible and using the engine of the Suzuki family G.



The Suzuki Swift was sent to the Japanese domestic market (jdm) as the Suzuki Cultus and elsewhere as the Suzuki Swift, Suzuki bend, Suzuki Jazz,Chevrolet Sprint and Sprint Metro, Chevrolet Swift,  Geo and Chevrolet Metro, Pontiac Firefly, Maruti 1000, Holden Irina and Subaru Justy. Suzuki Swift First Generation (2000-2004)



The Suzuki Swift first generation was introduced in 2000 as the Suzuki Cultus. Besides Japan, “Suzuki Compliance” name was used. Both three and 5-door hatchback body styles were offered, although the three-door offered as part of the system in Japan. The Suzuki Swift was powered new generation of Suzuki inline-four gasoline engines, the family of M. Engine displacements of 1.3 and 1.5 liters were offered, both with manual transmission five-speed or optional four-speed automatic. The car was available with either front or four-wheel drive. Vehicles equipped with 1.3-liter engine were designated HT51S, with version 1.5 liter HT81S assigned.



The shorter three-door body variant formed the basis for the Swift Sport in Japan, or COMPLIANCE Sport in export markets. Introduced in 2003, it featured Bumpers, and is equipped with a higher version published by a 1.5-liter. The Sport ceased production in 2005, and the remaining Swift models until 2006 Japanese market only.



Suzuki Swift Second Generation (2004-2010)



The second generation Suzuki Swift debuted at the Paris Motor Show in September 2004. The design of the Suzuki Swift on the Concept S and Concept S2 concept cars auto shows, the years leading up to its launch. This generation of the Swift marked the significant departure and the previous models Suzuki Cultus based, and Suzuki vehicle as under a “low price alternative” subcompact and more of a “sporty” subcompact. The Swift’s design and driving characteristics focused on the European market and its refined chassis through the road-testing across Europe.



The second generation Suzuki Swift has received four stars out of five in Euro NCAP rating risk assessment. It also awarded the 2006 Semperit Irish Car of the Year in Ireland. Since its launch global in 2005, which was to begin with a marketing campaign crowned by the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo many European countries, the Suzuki Swift has recorded above forecast sales in the market. In Japan, sales figures have been twice the forecast and many European markets the model runaway success.



The Suzuki Swift was available with 1.3- and 1.5-liter petrol engines, rated at 92 metric horses (68 kW, 91 hp) and 102 metric horses (75 kW; 101 hp), respectively. It is done in Hungary, India, Japan, Pakistan and by Chang’an Motors in China. In China and Japan, only five-door body is found, and four-wheel drive option for the 1.3- and 1.5-liter petrol engines. A engine 1.2-liter equipped with an automatic transmission, continuously variable (CVT) transmission offered in front-wheel drive only. In Europe, the Swift was launched hatchback three- or five-door forms, and 1.3- 1.5 liter petrol engines, and the 1.3-liter Addis engine supplied by Fiat. The 1.3 petrol is available with a manual transmission automated or four-wheel drive. Both the 1.3-liter and 1.5-liter petrol model is available with four-wheel drive, and hold chassis numbers, ZD11S and ZD21S.



Suzuki Swift Third Generation (2010-present)



The third-generation Suzuki Swift is being produced at Suzuki plant in Hungary since then supplied across Europe. New car its wheelbase extended by 50 percent over last second generation and has many updates to excel. Although the new car looks different from the old, its design is a great evolution of the second generation styling with the appearance of longer and more rounded. Post-September 2010 Swifts fitted with heavily revised version of the K12 engine found in the d Suzuki Wagon R +. In many countries, the generation of 3 Suzuki Swift uses a 1.4 liter VVT petrol engine (K14B) producing 95 hp. At the September 2010 Suzuki in the United Kingdom released the third generation Suzuki Swift onto British roads.



A new generation is expected to include a 1.2 liter VVT petrol engine developing 92 BHP. In some countries, the generation of 3 Suzuki Swift uses a 1.4 liter VVT petrol engine (K14B) producing 95 hp. In Thailand, the Suzuki Swift is built in your area and part of the Thai government’s eco-car. The car is sold with a CVT automatic transmission GA, GL and L variants; GA and GL variants are also offered with a five-speed transmission with manual without anti-lock brakes.



For Malaysia Market was released on 12 July 2013. As for the previous generation, a 4-door saloon model was developed for India by Maruti in 2012. This is shorter than previous generation; now 3.99 m (157 in) falls under the important tax threshold at four meters of length.
