Lexus CT

The Lexus CT 200h is a hybrid electric cars introduced in Lexus as a premium sport compact hatchback. Lexus CT made its debut at the March 2010 Geneva Auto Show, six months after unveiling of LF-Ch concept car, targeted primarily European market but are sold around the world and introduced to the North American market at the April 2010 New York International Auto Show. Lexus has trademarked the names Lexus CT 200h, Lexus CT 300h, and the Lexus CT 400h. The design by Takeshi Tanabe was approved in 2008 and patented designs on September, 11, 2009. Production began at the end of December 2010 and the European sales following soon after. Japan sales began on January 12, 2011, while US sales began in March 2011.



Designated code A10 model, which included Aghadan-series petrol engine with hybrid setup, Lexus CT is known as ZWA10. “CT” stands for “Touring Creative” and “200h” refers to the performance of hybrid is the size of a conventional 2.0 liter engine. The Lexus CT 200h chassis is based on the Toyota MC platform, which is same platform used by the Corolla and Matrix. The Lexus Lexus CT 200h features a front MacPherson Rag suspension and rear double wishbone design. The 200h CT has four modes of driving Normal, Sport, Eco and EV included some of the hybrid drive vehicles. Sport mode modifies the throttle and electric power steering settings, and the Stability control and traction control intrusive, making the CT200h’s. EV mode generates zero emissions at the vehicle using only the electric motors cars to drive a car.



Safety features include vehicle stability control (VSC) and eight standard airbags and opportunities to the pre-conflict dynamic radar cruise control extra expense. In Australia, the 200h CT is provided “Prestige”, “luxury”, “F Sport” and “Sport Luxury” specifications. The Luxury, F Sport and Sports Luxury variants add a camera repairs as standard, and Sports Luxury gains the active cruise control and pre-collision safety system. The Lexux CT F Sport models include all the features of the Luxury model, plus sports Bumpers, sport side skirts and rear spoiler. Interior features of the F Sport there is an F Sport steering wheel, scuff plates, sports pedals, instrument panel and privacy glass.



At the 2011 Australian Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne (25-27 March 2011), the Lexus CT 200h was used in the Challenge, asenzayo, one-off series event held as part of the Grand Prix weekend’s attractive. The event, supported Cams and sponsored by Lexus Australia, was promoted as world’s first race containing petrol-electric vehicles.



Europe: In the United Kingdom, Australian pop superstar Kylie Minogue was asked to be a spokesman for the new CT 200h. He recorded a TV ad and the press release of the car featured Minogue. In the United Kingdom, the 200h CT was one of the sponsors of the concert tour Minogue, Aphrodite World Tour.



Lexus CT Reception



The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) in 2011 Hybrid Scorecard ranked the Lexus CT 200h, and Hybrid Lincoln Anime.Kage, as the top luxury hybrid models in the evolution improve the section’s scorecard, the success of the UCS by their small petrol engines, as both carmakers downsized engines the vehicles’ from six to four cylinders to raise fuel economy.
