2014 Volkswagen Beetle Interior

The 22014 Volkswagen Beetle to draw design inspiration from the original negative of the flower-power model, yet at the same features, controls and construction as modern Volkswagens. The cuts that runs across the dash and doors can be color-keyed to the exterior as the old bugs, while Turbo respectively dash-top criteria are available two-tone seats.

It is a beautiful quality manufacturing environment and not a Mini Cooper, it does not allow the sort of head-scratching that can come from odd placement and mobility control ergonomics. The most navigation system is easy to use, though its the small screen limits usefulness. The premium Fender system, on the other hand, is well worth extra cost and provides impressive sound quality.

Despite its seemingly low roof line, the Beetle still provide plenty of room for tall drivers, and many people will be in the front seat pretty cool. The 2014 Volkswagen Beetle backseat is also fairly roomy, though not as roomy as the related Volkswagen Golf. The 2014 Volkswagen Beetle 15.4-cubic-foot cargo hold is actually larger than the Golf’s with the 50/50 split-folding seat up. Lower the seat, however, and the Beetle only provide 29.9 cubes of maximum distance instead of the Golf’s 46 cubes

2014 Volkswagen Beetle Engine

The 2014 Volkswagen Beetle is powering by 2.5L is a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine with 170 hp and 177 pound-feet of torque. Later in model year Volkswagen will replace the engine with a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that generate 170 hp and 184 lb-ft. All Beetle is a front-wheel drive. For the 2.5L, a five-speed manual transmission is standard, while a six-speed automatic is cheating. In testing, a Beetle 2.5L with automatic go from zero to 60 mph in 9 seconds – about average for an automatic compact. Estimated EPA fuel economy for 2.5L is a disappointing 25 mpg combined (22 mpg city / 29 mpg for the automatic, 22/31 with the manual).

The 2014 Volkswagen Beetle R-Line and 2014 Volkswagen Beetle GSR get a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produces 210 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. The six-speed manual is standard and a six-speed automated manual (DSG) is cheating. In performance testing, previous 200-hp Beetle Turbo with DSG go from zero to 60 mph in a quick 6.6 seconds. The uel economy with DSG is actually better than the five-cylinder is 26 mpg combined (24 city / 30).

A turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel engine with 140 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque capabilities B2014 Volkswagen Beetle TDI. As with the R-Line, buyers can choose between a six-speed manual and a six-speed DSG. The Fuel economy estimates stand at 32 mpg combined (28 city / 41 for the manual and 29/39 for the DSG).

2014 Volkswagen Beetle Safety

All 2014 Volkswagen Beetle comes standard with traction and stability control, the antilock disc brakes, front side airbags, side curtain airbags and Volkswagen’s Car-Net telematics system. This new work with crash notification, deflated assistance, stolen vehicle location, remote door opening and geo-fencing (which allows parents to set boundaries for girls drivers). A rearview camera (late availability) is cheating.

In brake testing , a previous Beetle Turbo with 18-inch wheels came to a stop in 129 feet: disappointing for a sporty small car. Surprisingly, a normal 2.5 model standing at 122 feet – a bit better than average.

In government crash tests, the 2014 Volkswagen Beetle received five out of five stars for overall crash protection, with four stars for overall protection and track total five stars for side-impact protection. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for its top “good” rating in its moderate-overlap frontal-offset, side-impact and roof-strength test. IIHS’s newest small-overlap frontal-offset test, the 2014 Volkswagen Beetle received a rating of “minimal,” the third lowest of the four, although not all cars have been subjected to this test and some have earned a “good “rating.

The 2014 Volkswagen Eos interface screen in Komfort and Sport works pretty well in terms of audio (iPod interface is particularly well designed), but the navigation function was interrupted by a small screen size. The Executive model features a screen larger Usefully, but I find this higher-end interface slower to process the orders that you’re changing the radio station or to enter a destination.

2014 Volkswagen Jetta Interior

The 2014 Volkswagen Jetta is one of the least exciting interiors in its class, which some might interpret this restraint and good taste. While rivals may use various curves, angles and textures to capture their attention, the 2014 Volkswagen Jetta simply gives you simple and straightforward indicators and control design meaningless. The controls usually feel important and well damped, which unfortunately makes numerous hard plastic panels, thick seem even more incongruous. At least one dashboard soft touch has filtered down as far as SEL and TDI models.

What the 2014 Volkswagen Jetta lost in finer details, however, tries to compensate with the interior space and features. The back seat is big enough for full-size adults to ride in comfort, which can not be said of the Focus, for example, and the trunk of 15.5 cubic feet is one of the most spacious you will find in this class. We also like the touch screen interface of music available and redundant line knob, making it ideal for controlling a portable music player. The navigation system associated, however, is a bit of a disappointment because of the small screen and limited information on the screen.

The 2014 Volkswagen Jetta TDI features a 2.0 turbo diesel four-cylinder that produces 140 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque liter engine. A six-speed manual is standard and an automated manual six-speed gearbox (known as DSG) is optional. In performance testing, a Jetta TDI DSG equipped pushed from zero to 60 mph in 8.4 seconds. With a transmission, estimated fuel savings is in an excellent 34 mpg combined (30 city / 42 highway).
