Volkswagen CC

The Volkswagen CC (originally known as the Volkswagen Passat CC in its first generation) is a four-door fastback sedan Volkswagen Passat. It premiered in January 2008 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. According to Volkswagen, the suffix CC stands for Comfort Coupe. The Volkswagen CC falls between the Volkswagen Passat and VVolkswagen Phaeton in range,  although based on the Volkswagen Passat, and share its wheelbase, the CC is 27 mm (1.06 inches) long, 50 mm (1.97 inches ) lower, and 36 mm (1.42 inch) wider than the Volkswagen Passat is so oriented Phaeton the executive.



Volkswagen CC Market



At its launch in 2008, Volkswagen said ambitions to sell 300,000 units over a period of seven years. The automaker expects 60% of sales (about 26,000 units per year) will come from the US market. In China, the Volkswagen CC was released by FAW-VW on July 15, 2010 and is available in 2.0TSI 1.8TSI and ornaments.



With the revised version, Volkswagen CC promotes as “sports car” dynamic, but road tests indicate that “call the CC sports sedan is totally misleading.” Compared with other midsize sedans on the market, the 2013 Volkswagen CC by Edmunds was evaluated as “although his backseat smallish attractive alternative and better quality … and the trunk can be deal-breakers. Volkswagen CC Specs



The Volkswagen CC has a 2,711 mm (106.7 in) wheelbase and is available with a 1.4-liter TFSI E85 (Finland and Sweden), 1.8-liter inline-four petrol, 2.0-liter inline-four gasoline and a 2.0-liter TDI engine with four inline- in various configurations powertrain and a 3.6-liter VR6 engine with 4Motion all-wheel drive and a six-speed dual direct box changes clutch (DSG).



The US market has the 2.0T I4 and 3.6 L VR6 engine as options. This version VR6 engine has an output of 206 kW (276 hp) and 265 lb ft (359 N · m) of torque to the front and 4MOTION all-wheel drive versions, while the 2.0T produces 200 horsepower (150 kW) 207 foot pounds (281 N · m). The manual transmission is available on the 2.0T engine option only. It also comes with automatic transmission.



In the European market the Volkswagen CC is available with 4MOTION all-wheel drive in the 2.0-liter TDI engines. The model of 103 kW (140 PS) comes with manual transmission and 125 kW (170 PS) model with Direct-Shift Gearbox (DSG). AdBlue version offering one 105 kW (143 PS) name Blue TDI also occurs. Availability varies by country. For the 2011 model year (available late 2010), the 2.0T in Europe was upgraded to 155 kW (211 PS, 208 hp) by using the engine model introduced in the Golf VI GTI.



Volkswagen CC 2012 Re-Styling



A restyling of the Volkswagen CC was presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and production began in January 2012. The front and back were reviewed for the Volkswagen CC similar to the current Volkswagen design aspect, while the middle section has not changed. Interior changes include a minor change in the center console, with an ACC Control Panel updated. This design is also used in the Passat Alltrack.



European engine options remain the same as for the 2011 Volkswagen CC . Transmission options were carried over from the previous version, but the diesel automatic transmission now has a freewheel function that is claimed to reduce fuel consumption by disengaging the clutch when the driver lifts off the throttle. The XDS electronic differential brake is also used in the Volkswagen Golf GTI will be available as standard equipment and optional.



Versions available initially only in V6 AWD alternative but diesel became available in 2012. The availability of 4WD diesel varies by market. As in North America, the Passat CC restyling 2012 Passat and hold the name will be called Volkswagen CC. In January 2013, the 2.0 TDI 170 optional PS (130 kW, 170 hp) was replaced by an uprated 177 hp (130 kW, 175 hp) version. The maximum torque increased from 350 to 380 Nm. The Volkswagen CC, transmission in the V6 in the North American market is a regular transmission torque converter.
