2015 Lexus GX 460

The 2015 Lexus GX 460 is a seven-passenger luxury SUV offered in two trim levels: base and Luxury. Standard features on the base model include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED lights, illuminated running boards, a sunroof, roof rack side rails, rear privacy glass and a rear spoiler. Lexus GX

The Lexus GX is a mid-size luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) sold in North American markets in Eurasia by Lexus. The GX stands for Grand crossover. Lexus introduced first generation, known as Lexus GX 470 in 2002, and later became the third SUV to enter Lexus. The 4.7 liter V8 engine in the Lexus GX 470 was the same as used on the larger LX 470 The firm then introduced the second generation model in 2009 now badged Lexus GX 460 to reflect the switch to a 4.6 liter V8 engine, Lexus released later the movement of the lower Lexus GX 400 in 2012 Chinese market, with a 4.0 liter V6 engine.

Lexus GX Second Generation (J150, 2009-present)



The Lexus GX 460 debuted at the China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition in November 2009. The model went on to body-on-frame construction, full-time four-wheel drive, the transfer case hi-lo, and a Torsen center locking difference. The Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) became the standard. Power came from a new 4.6-liter 1UR-FE V8 engine that produces 224 kW (301 hp) and 446 N · m (329 lb · ft) of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission new. Fuel economy improved over the generation before, during and maximum towing capacity of 2,950 kilograms (6,500 lb). Drag coefficient was reduced to Cd = 0.35. The rear Wiper hidden under the rear spoiler, and at the tailgate sat side-opening, the flip-up glass panel was added.

The shared-platform Toyota 4Runner passed the test, and when Consumer Reports said it knew the actual events, it recommended fix software. the same day, the car manufacturer Toyota has expressed concern, thanked the magazine, and for a while Lexus GX 460 sales.



While noting that the SUV met all US federal requirements, Toyota confirmed that its testing had copied the results. On April 19, a voluntary recall Lexus GX 460 was issued, and the left-hand-drive Land Cruiser Prado, for a software update to fix the answer to the VSC.
